I went to the "spa" for a bachelorette and we each had different services. Upon arrival we were given our robes and told that the changing rooms are downstairs. We arrived earlier as our services were at different times. We were told to relax by the pool and that someone will come to notify us about our appointment. As 5mins past our massage starting time, and no one showed up, we directed ourselves to the spa part, were we were told that our massage will be shortened to a 35mins massage. Pretty pricy 150$ for a 35mins massage. As we addressed the instructions given, they offered to reduce the price to 130$ instead. Be aware that the tandem price is per person not for 2. The massage therapist was nice but did seem rushed and wasn't adjusting to the expectations ( body response ).We have chosen this spa instead of the Scandinave spa as it is advertised to be a similar experience where you are allowed to talk. The hot-cold cycle experience is definitely not the best layout. There is a hot/humide sauna in the changing room and a dry sauna in the interior pool . The cold pool is completely outside. Outside you have a 40c jacouzi, a 35c pool, and a regular pool. Basically the hot-cold is not convenient due to the poor layout. If you want to lay by the pool, you may enjoy your experience but do not expect a comparable relaxation experience as their competitors.
Just had a massage at the Fairmont Spa. The masseuse was very nice, however, the facility has absolutely no "spa accommodations". Fairmont is the most high end hotel at the mountain and the spa according on the website description meant to offer the ultimate spa experience. However, the truth is far from reality . As I walked in I was directed to leave my coat & my shoes at the common area closet without any tag that is actually would confirm that at the pick up I get my coat. I was told that I had to change directly at the massage room and if I need a shower, I would need to go through the hotel lobby public area and use public bathrooms, which I declined. I actually had taken shower just before at my hotel. My adventure is not over. When I got to the massage room, I was instructed to underess & finally enjoy the service. It was 50 minutes regular relaxation massage priced @$150. As soon as it was over, I was instructed to get up slowly and get dressed. There was no towel or mirror or enough light to get myself ready. Did I mentioned at the beginning " no changing room of any sort". I took a few minutes, however was interrupted. I was out of my room before 2 & my massage was over @ 1:50, I don't think it was a long time to get ready, ps no shower. At the front desk I was asked about my experience and I replied the fact that I have to finish dressing up & change my shoes by the front desk doesn't qualify this establishment to be called a "Spa desert" it should be called a walk in massage place , which I would've never considered. As a response to my comment the front desk associate just smiled.
